The Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora’s words have created ripples in political circles. With still three years left for general elections, the Chief Election Commissioner announced that they were ready for the One Nation One Poll. During the party’s review meeting in Mangalagiri office, Pawan Kalyan had said that there was no need to wait till 2024.
The words of Pawan attained significance as no other leader opened up about the One Nation One Poll. Pawan enjoys good relations with the national leadership of BJP and with the government at the same time. Now, with Pawan’s predictions on One Nation One Poll turning true following the announcement of CEC. Speculations among circles are that Pawan has been receiving strong signals from the Delhi towers.
There is a talk of One Nation One Poll in the state. Opposition parties are getting ready with a belief that elections would be held within two years. However, the YSR Congress, which is totally against the idea of One Nation One Poll has expressed its disapproval. They are ridiculing the idea saying it is just a dream of opposition parties and that it would be only after 2024. They are hopeful that Jaganmohan Reddy will be the CM for five years. Both the ruling and opposition parties are talking about One Nation One Poll. However, it should be noted that it is Pawan who initiated the topic of simultaneous polls.
