Power Star Pawan Kalyan is known for his hot-headed nature and fearless questioning when it comes to politics. This is quite opposite to his rather reserved nature in the film industry. His fans and public are subjected to confusion about his shape-shifting behaviour. Pawan interacted with media recently and made some interesting remarks about the indifference of politicians towards the flood victims of Hyderabad.
Pawan said, “When an MLA is spending Rs.150-200 crores towards the election expenditure, it’s strange that they don’t even donate Rs.50 crores in the time of calamity. People who comment that these donations are not enough should try to give from their pockets first. Film industry is a soft target to everyone and people in it don’t make money as much as outsiders think. Real money lies in the hands of realtors, industrialists and politicians but none of them are keen on donating to victims when a natural disaster takes place. Even though it is not mandatory for everyone to give donations, the rich should support the government during such times. One should not desire recognition or publicity for their donations.”
His comments are thought-provoking and are becoming the cause for debate in the society now. When the Chief Minister of a state just accepts donations from others and he doesn’t even contribute a single penny from his pocket, there is no wonder his cabinet and party people show indifference. We all know that politics has just become another business and several politicians are corrupt. Film actors are far better than them when it comes to rescuing the victims of natural mishaps.
