The Pollution Control Board (PCB) has directed that the battery manufacturing units at Tirupati Karakambadi and Noonegundlapalli in Chittoor district be polluted. The ownership of Amar Raja Batteries has responded to the directives given by the Pollution Control Board. As a responsible company for four decades, the company management has spent a large amount of money on environmental protection. The company said it had already taken a number of measures to control the pollution. Amar Raja Batteries said it would take legal action against the government orders.
Zuari Cement closed in Kadapa
Zuari Cement Company, which has been producing cement for the last 22 years in Kadapa district, has been shut down. The Pollution Control Board, which has identified the pollution as high, has ordered the Zuari company to suspend the power supply. The Zuari Cement Company was shut down leaving 3,000 workers in the lurch.
