APCC Working President Tulasi Reddy demanded that the Constitution not being enforced in the AP and that a Presidential rule be imposed under Article 356. He also criticized that it is undemocratic to file cases against the media questioning government anarchy. He said that filing cases against the media were an attack on freedom of expression. Tulasi Reddy demanded that the cases against the media be withdrawn immediately.
Tulasi Reddy even went on to say that instead of the Indian Penal Code in the AP, the Jagan Penal Code is being implemented. He also added that the condition in the AP is such that the British rule is better than the present rule. Tulsi Reddy said that Article 19 gives freedom of expression to every person by the Constitution and that attacking it would be unconstitutional. YSRCP MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju was arrested in an illegal manner and that beating him badly in custody isn’t expected. Tulasi Reddy condemned such partisan, undemocratic and inhumane acts.
