The film industry and politics have brawny ties in India. Many film stars established their own political parties in the past. This trend is more prevalent in the southern part of our nation. Kannada star hero Upendra who is fondly called Uppi by his fans started a political outfit named Uttama Prajaakeeya Party in 2018.
He devised a new set of revolutionary guidelines for his party and is getting ready to contest in the upcoming elections. According to Upendra, the political parties in Karnataka are looting people’s money and leaving them to suffer from hunger and poverty. He said that the ruling and past Governments did nothing but politics based on caste, religion, and money. Uppi stressed that Uttama Prajaakeeya Party is aimed towards cleaner politics which is devoid of all the mentioned anomalies.
Responding to the revolutionary principles of Upendra, maverick director RGV tweeted ‘Wow this is truly a great step towards a revolutionary new way of looking at a political party…Upendra deserves loads of appreciation’. TLN hopes that Uttama Prajaakeeya Party stands to its principles and cleans the existing system by coming into power.
