Dynamic director Puri Jagannadh introduced his son Akash Puri with Mehbooba in 2018. Though this reincarnation story bombed at the box office, Akash garnered a positive response for his acting skills. His second film Romantic directed by Anil Paduri is lying in the cans for a long time due to the lockdown.
Romantic is an action love entertainer shot in the backdrop of the mafia. While Ketika Sharma played the female lead in it, senior actress Ramya Krishnan essayed a pivotal role. The team released its songs and stills long back which became popular in the youth. It would have been in the theatres by now if not for the lockdown and the makers are keen to release it for summer until the latest intervention by Puri.
Jagan has reportedly suggested some changes after seeing the final output of the film recently. The unit is in the task of shooting these patchwork scenes now in Annapurna Studios. Romantic will be released on Amazon Prime shortly as decided by its makers. We hope that Akash will secure a hit this time with Romantic.
