Sithara Entertainments confirmed the presence of Power Star Pawan Kalyan in their Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum by releasing an announcement video on Vijayadasami. Pawan will start working on the film after the completion of Vakeel Saab which is the remake of Hindi film Pink.
Ayyappanum Koshiyum became a sensational hit in Malayalam and its rights were bagged by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi immediately after a month of its release. Prithviraj Sukumaran played the role of an Ex-Havaldar who is wealthy and influential while Biju Menon donned the role of a Sub-Inspector. Pawan is doing the role of the inspector and Rana is said to be playing Prithviraj’s role.
In the original, Biju Menon’s Ayyappan Nair character marries a tribal girl who is a Maoist. Gowri Nandha played it exceedingly well in Malayalam and Sai Pallavi is said to be playing it in the Telugu version. Sai Pallavi is already essaying the role of a Naxalite in Rana’s Virata Parvam. If this materializes, we can expect wonders as Rowdy Baby and Power Star are sharing the screen space for the first time.
