In a major respite for BJP Goshamahal Assembly Legislator T Raja Singh, the High Court of Telangana has stayed the one-year imprisonment orders sentenced by the special sessions court earlier on January 29. It is known that Raja Singh was held for physically attacking police personnel in 2015 during the Beef Festival held by Osmania University. Earlier, the sessions court told Raja Singh that he could challenge the verdict in the High Court within a month and had granted bail immediately. In this context, the Goshamahal MLA approached the high court following which a stay was issued and the case hearing adjourned to four weeks.
