Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is undoubtedly the most anticipated film in the nation. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are acting as ‘Komaram Bheem’ and ‘Alluri Sitarama Raju’ in this pre-independence action thriller. As these two characters spent most of their life in the forests, ‘RRR’ will be majorly shot in dense jungles across India. The shooting is going to resume soon.
Rana Daggubati starred in films like ‘Nene Raju-Nene Mantri’, ‘NTR’ series and ‘Housefull-4’ after ‘Baahubali’. His ‘Aranya’ which should have been released by now was stalled due to lockdown. It is based on the classic Bollywood hit ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and is directed by Prabhu Solomon. This film is made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. While Hindi version retains the classic’s title, Tamil version is named ‘Kaadan’. It is shot entirely in the forest backdrop and an elephant also plays a leading role alongside Rana. His another upcoming film ‘Virata Parvam’ under the direction of Venu Udugula is based on Naxalite movement and real incidents that took place in the year 1992. Sai Pallavi, Priya Mani and Nandita Das are playing important roles in it. This is also shot mostly in the forest.
Brilliant director Sukumar is filming ‘Pushpa’ with Allu Arjun in Seshachalam forest now. Bunny is playing the role of a lorry driver named ‘Pushpa Raj.’ Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in this movie which is based on red sandal smuggling. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s nephew Vaishnav Tej’s second film with Krish has started recently. It is based on a famous novel called ‘Kondapolam’ which portrays the life of people who go into the hills for cultivation. Rakul Preet Singh is playing the heroine in this forest based film.
