As US Presidential Elections come to an end, the victory of Democrat Joe Biden is almost certain as he inches closer to the magic figure of 270 Electoral College votes. Biden already has 264 seats and is just short of six. While the incumbent Republican candidate Donald Trump has received just 214 votes so far, the other candidates in the race didn’t get even a single seat.
The total number of electoral votes in the United States is 538, and the result of 60 seats is yet to be announced. As the results for the 60 seats are yet to be out, it is enough for Joe Biden to get another 6 seats for the presidential post.
It was the crucial Michigan results that changed Trump’s fate. Joe Biden gaining the upper hand in the two crucial states of Wisconsin and Michigan, the outcome totally changed despite Trump being in the lead in some key states until then. Now, POTUS Trump’s campaign on Wednesday challenged the vote counts of the two crucial states that Joe Biden won, alleging without evidence about irregularities.
Earlier, Trump had accused the Democrats of resorting to fraud in the ongoing elections and wanted all voting stopped, adding that he would approach the Supreme Court. Trump also went on to declare himself victorious, thereby revealing his fear of defeat. However, the results now indicate Joe Biden maintaining a clear lead.

Can a peaceful transition of power happen?
Usually, change of power is a simple process when it comes to the US presidential elections. The losing candidate like a gentleman shakes hands with the winning candidate, hands over the power and then steps down. On the contrary, what if the losers do not respect that kind of referendum. What is the situation if the incumbent POTUS is stubborn? If elections are cancelled in some places… what kind of situation will arise? Well, at present there is no solution to such fears. Also, there are no principles in the US constitution to solve the problems in the change of power. Now let’s wait and see what happens to the new implications in the change of power as Trump sues in three states to stop vote counts.
