The volunteer identified as Gopu Brahmam had attended the swearing-in ceremony of the Chairman and members of the BC Corporation along with YSRCP village leaders. Suddenly, Brahmam got hiccups and collapsed while having his meal which was arranged by the government at the conference. Though YSRCP leaders immediately rushed him to the NRI hospital in Mangalagiri, doctors declared him dead. It is believed that Brahmam died because of the spoiled meal consumed by him at the conference.
Post-mortem report crucial
A post-mortem will be conducted today on the body of volunteer Brahmam. The post-mortem will reveal whether the meal was spoiled or whether he died of some other cause. Dondapati Ravi from the same village who had lunch with Brahmam too had experienced vomiting. He is being treated at a private hospital in Guntur. Doctors revealed that his condition is stable.
Is it food poisoning?
There are many suspicions regarding the death of Gottipadiya volunteer BTech Brahmam. Thousands had meals at the BC Conference. However, only volunteers Brahmam and Ravi vomited. There are suspicions whether they had consumed spurious liquor prior to having their meal? This will be clarified in the post-mortem report.
