Chandrababu was speaking at a public meeting held after a roadshow in Sullurupeta, Nellore district on Saturday as part of the Tirupati by-election campaign. On this occasion, Chandrababu came down heavily criticising the tyrannical rule of YS Jagan in the state. Jagan, who is campaigning as if he is spending large sums of money in the name of welfare, is flagging that the money is being withdrawn through liquor sales. The Jagan government, which is depositing Rs 15,000 in the mother’s account in the name of Amma Odi, has been accused of stealing Rs 30,000 crore from fathers through the sale of liquor buddy. Why defeat YSRCP in the Tirupati by-election? Chandrababu said he had come to tell the TDP why it should win. He said he had come to the election campaign even at this age as he could not bear to see the state stuck in a debt trap under the Jagannath regime.
Chandrababu hopes that the vote in the Tirupati by-election will be the first step towards ending the anarchic rule of the Jagan government in AP. Saying that no one can erase his record as Chief Minister, Chandrababu said it was a great honour to have served as the Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh for five years. He urged the government to recognize the fact that the Covid vaccine is now being produced due to his development work. Chandrababu alleged that Jagan, who had made promises prior to the election, was being punched by the authorities. He alleged that cement, which was available for Rs 250 while he was in power, had gone up to Rs 400 during the Jagannath regime and that Jagan had doubled the price of cement to make a profit for his own company. Chandrababu alleges that steel prices also have gone up and the condition at present is such that there is no sand at all.
Chandrababu called for defeating the YSRCP in the Tirupati by-elections to get relief from the ongoing anarchy in the state. Chandrababu also said that YSRCP MP Raghuram Krishnan Raju’s unanimous complaint to the Prime Minister that he did not have security was understandable. Chandrababu said that the demolition of a printing press godown in Visakhapatnam belonging to Andhra Jyoti magazine for the sole reason that it was writing anti-Jagannath rhetoric against anyone who spoke out against him. To save the state from such anarchic rule, Chandrababu demanded that TDP candidate Panabaka Lakshmi needs to be supported with a landslide majority in the Tirupati by-election to defeat the YCP. Chandrababu called on voters to exercise their voting right prudently in this election.
