The Telangana BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar lashed out at the TRS Supremo and CM KCR for having failed to fulfill the promises made to the people and for misleading them. He said that the public will not forgive him and that he would be taught a good lesson. He went on to questions as to how the CM can ask for votes, despite having assured the public during the 2018 elections that he would give freshwater through Mission Bhagiratha. The BJP leader said that around half of the villages in the state still do not have access to safe drinking water. Didn’t you say six years ago that you would sit in a chair and complete the ASLBC tunnel? Haven’t you sat on the chair till now? Bandi Sanjay commented sarcastically.
He even questioned the silence of CM KCR when TRS leaders resorted to land grabbing in the tribal region of Nagarjuna Sagar, and criticized the CM for having called the protesters dogs and said that the situation is such that a bypoll is necessary for new schemes to be announced in the state.
Meanwhile, CM KCR who had addressed a public meeting in Nagarjuna Sagar lost his cool when a group of people began protesting and created a commotion. “Take the papers from them. Now that you have given the memo, please leave. Police take them out. If you want to stay, please be calm or leave gracefully. No one will be disturbed by your antics. There are several dogs like you. If we are determined, there will not be any trace of you. You will become dust,” the Telangana CM KCR had said
