PM Modi launched a mass vaccination drive to curb the Covid19 pandemic in India. Even in both Telugu states the vaccination programme was held in a grand manner. Interestingly, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh women, frontline workers were administered the first shots. In honour of the sanitation workers who performed their duties during the coronavirus crisis, Kishtamma was given the first vaccine by the Telangana government. Along with Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender, BJP leader Kishan Reddy too received the vaccine. On the occasion, MoS for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy claimed that the program to end the invisible enemy has begun. He said the target was to provide the vaccine to 30 crore people, adding that the aim is to provide the vaccine phase-wise to people from all walks of life.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, CM YS Jagan himself launched the vaccine distribution program in GGH. The first vaccine was injected to a female health worker, Pushpakumari, in the presence of the Andhra CM. Meanwhile, the drive successfully is being implemented in all districts of the state. The government also deployed medical personnel on standby to monitor health-related issues that arise post-vaccination. A medical practitioner and ambulance have also been placed outside every vaccination centre in the state.
