Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju who is popularly known as Rebel Star Krishnam Raju on the celluloid is celebrating his birthday today. Krishnam Raju was acclaimed for his furious performances in films like Katakataala Rudraiah, Bobbili Brahmanna, Tandra Paparayudu, Palnati Pourusham, and Rudhramadevi.
Raju served as the Member of Parliament from Kakinada and Narsapur constituencies in the 12th and 13th Lok Sabha. He was a Minister of State for the Ministry of External Affairs in the cabinet of Vajpayee. Gunasekhar who made Rudhramadevi with Anushka roped in Krishnam Raju for Ganapati Devudu’s role.
