After scoring a surprise hit with Rakshasudu, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas turned his attention towards a mass comedy named Alludu Adhurs. It is directed by Kandireega fame Santhosh Srinivas. Let’s delve into the details of the film.
Plot
Seenu(Bellamkonda Sreenivas) is a carefree youth who doesn’t have any seriousness in life. His path coincides with that of a village goon Jayapal Reddy(Prakash Raj) when he loves his younger daughter Koumudi(Nabha Natesh). Seenu has to fight with Reddy who is against love as he loses his elder daughter Vasundhara(Anu Emmanuel) to it and Gaja(Sonu Sood) who was released from prison after serving a sentence of 20 years to make his love successful.
Analysis
Anil Ravipudi bagged massive successes for 2019 Sankranthi with F2 and 2020 Sankranthi with Sarileru Neekevvaru. Anil’s Guru Santhosh Srinivas tried to capture 2021 Sankranthi with Alludu Adhurs using the comedy inputs of his disciple. Even though comedy scenes worked to a large extent, story and screenplay are heavily neglected.
Alludu Adhurs has nothing but hero elevation scenes and unnecessary build-ups which we have seen in innumerable movies in the past. There is neither a strong conflict point in the plot nor a meaning to the proceedings that happen on the screen. Sonu is seen in a comedy avatar and his final portions are not effective.
Bellamkonda Babu’s comedy timing is good and he excelled in dances and fights as usual. Nabha Natesh’s skin show will attract the masses and Anu Emmanuel’s screen presence is too small. Prakash Raj has done justice to his role and comedians like Srinivasa Reddy, Brahmaji, Saptagiri, Vennela Kishore, and Satya performed well.
