The AP Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council will meet from the 20th of this month. AP Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan will address both the houses online this month in a virtual manner. The number of days the meetings will be held will be decided at the BAC meeting.
The budget meetings could not even be held due to the corona second wave. The provisional budget is being implemented by ordinance. The government has decided to hold bicameral meetings as the corona is not likely to decline at present. There has been a surge in the Corona cases in the state, hundreds of deaths due to lack of oxygen and medicines, unaffordable prices to grain farmers, and illegal cases against opposition leaders are all likely to come up for discussion. The budget is likely to be introduced at these meetings.
