The number of illegal structures erected in the city after the declaration of Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital is about 6 thousand. This was revealed in a survey conducted by Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation officials over a period of about fifty days. All are the assets of TDP leaders

In MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishnababu’s constituency, TDP side shops were removed horizontally in the name of footpath encroachments. GITAM Deemed varsity structures were ruthlessly removed. Later, Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s properties were seized. Similarly, TDP leader Kashi Vishwanath destroyed the Go Karting properties belonging to the king. Later the Andhra Jyoti Printing Press building in Gajuwaka Mindi was demolished.
Why only on Sundays?
Holidays that are full of complexity are neither fun nor comfortable. Authorities in Visakhapatnam will also take action on the structures on Sunday. And the authorities should know whether these actions are illegal or not. Authorities are applying all sections of the law on the assets of TDP leaders during court holidays, midnight, and early morning. The victims are resorting to the courts rather than themselves to stop the dismissals being carried out in praise of the ruling party leaders. IAS and IPS officers are also vying with ruling party ministers and MLAs to continue as officers in the administrative capital Visakhapatnam.
