The worst fears of Vizianagaram have come true. The college’s aided affiliation has ended. Now, this has to be treated as a private institution. The online process for this year’s Degree first-year admission has begun. The employees and teachers are saying that the autonomous facility was removed and it is shown as a private institution. They have expressed concerns that with the self-financing facility mentioned in the online system the students will have to pay fees.
The higher education council has given green signals for the long-awaited degree entrance exams. The online services which were limited to engineering and vocational courses have now been implemented in Degree college also. There are 29478 seats in 81 colleges in the district.
The inter students should have 40 percent marks for admission in BSc. Pass marks are enough for the SC, ST students. The students of diploma in engineering, non-engineering courses from the colleges affiliated to State Technical Education and Training, who have passed will be admitted into degree second year. For these student’s 5 percent supernumerary posts were created. Now, the inter students who studied LMT course are eligible for BA and BCom. Along with this, the students who have completed bridge courses are given the opportunity to join the BSc course.
The higher education department would monitor online admission by forming a coordination committee. In the district level RJD, AU Dean or CDC, private aided degree college principal nominated by CCE, one private degree college principal would be in the coordination committee.
Support centres have been formed at S Kota, Salur, Vizianagaram and Gumma Lakshmi Puram government degree colleges in the district for online admissions. T Radhakrishna, a member of the District Coordinating Committee, said that these centres would work to resolve doubts and problems that may arise in admissions of students, as well as web options for college admissions, and difficulties in allocating seats.

Students’ Inter Hall Ticket Number must be entered. Aadhaar number of students. Must have income, caste verification number registered in MeeSeva.
