The stage is all set for a new political party to be set up in AP. The BCs have gathered in Guntur to form a political party. However, political analysts opine that there is a strategy behind the formation of the BCs party. Sankara Rao, the AP BC Association president chaired a meeting of 52 BC caste leaders from 13 districts in Guntur today to discuss various issues. The leaders of the unions who attended the meeting were of the view that if they unite and achieve power, they can grow in all the fields.
We are more than half… Power is ours if we are united
There are 113 backward classes in AP and there are BCs in every village in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. All the parties have BC leaders. It has been decided to bring all the BCs together and form a political party. As they form half of the state’s population and unite, they could win power. Leaders from 13 districts attended the meeting. However, speculations are on whether some forces are working behind the strategy.
Who are the forces behind the party of BCs?
No one would have objected to the BCs having a party in the AP. In a democracy, anyone can form parties, compete in elections and achieve power. The birth of some parties raises many doubts. Everyone should welcome the aspiration of all the BCs in the AP to form a party. However, doubts arise if they were being used by some as pawns. The main opponent of the YCP in the AP is the Telugu Desam. Hence, political analysts opine that this a strategy to keep the BCs who are loyal to the TDP away from it.
BCs must grow politically
Anywhere in the world, any country would prosper only when everyone develops. It must be said that the BCs, who are in large numbers in AP, have not yet seen much growth. BCs must have a party, but the formation of a party based on caste is a bold move. Already there are many BC leaders in national and regional parties and they have gained good recognition. Their only dissatisfaction is that the BCs did not get the post of the chief minister. Hence the BCs have announced that they will have their own party. Hope their aspirations are fulfilled.
