Everyone in the film industry knows the bond Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar share. It started on the sets of ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ in which K’JO worked as an assistant director to Aditya Chopra. Shahrukh Khan starred in Karan’s debut directorial ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hain’ and they both have been good friends since then, collaborating in many movies. Karan once said that Shahrukh is like a big brother to him which goes to show how much they care for each other.
After the nepotism debate raged across the country following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Karan has been at the receiving end of fans’ ire. Strangely, this is causing a drift between the two buddies. Karan was planning to produce a film with Bollywood Badshah under the direction of Atlee, but in these tough times where he is being targeted as a brand ambassador for nepotism, Shahrukh is said to be avoiding him. Grapevine says that the superstar is making arrangements to produce this film under his own Red Chillies Entertainment banner. As per sources, Karan Johar is said to be disappointed with these developments and only time can tell whether the relationship between them becomes normal like before or not.
