PUBG Corporation on Thursday announced that the game will be made available with necessary changes that would cater to the Indian market. Earlier, the Indian Government had banned PUBG and several apps as they were allegedly involved in activities that are prejudicial to the sovereignty, integrity, defence and security of the country. Also, the escalation of India-China tensions had led to the developments.
Though the apps were removed from Google Play and App Store, it wasn’t flagged by the ISP, hence players who had the set up could install and play the game in their devices. It was recently, that the Indian Government enforced a complete ban on the game servers. In this context, PUBG mobile developers mull to re-introduce the game having made the required changes as suggested by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. In addition, the firm made it clear that the servers of Indian gamers would be audited on a regular basis to ensure their data and privacy.
The Corporation announced that the game would be titled ‘PUBG Mobile Game India’ and that it will comply with the local norms. Several changes and improvements to in-game content would be made to reflect the local needs. New settings include a virtual simulation training ground, clothing and green hit effects. A new feature to restrict game time for younger players is also being added to this new version.
