YSRCP leaders were humiliated during the Tirupati by-election campaign. YSRCP leaders formed a spiritual amalgamation with fishermen in Tupilipalem, Gudur constituency today as part of the Tirupati by-election campaign. Gudur YCP MLA Varaprasad was deposed by fishermen during the meeting. They created confusion in the House as to whether they would be remembered during the election. Gudur has repeatedly told the MLA that the problems of fishermen’s boats coming from Tamil Nadu have not been resolved. Fisheries Minister Appalaraju, YCP MP Mopidevi Venkataramana and former MLA Beeda Mastan Rao, who were present at the meeting, tried to justify it. However, the YSRCP leaders withdrew after the meeting ended meaningfully as the fishermen did not listen.
Strong opposition among fishermen
There is strong opposition to VCP leaders among coastal fishermen in the Nellore districts. Fishermen from Tamil Nadu are attacking those who come into AP sea waters and ask them to fish.
