Megastar Chiranjeevi was tested negative for COVID-19 recently and is in home isolation for now. He is all set to join the sets of Acharya which is getting delayed due to multiple setbacks. After Acharya, Chiru will act in the remakes of Lucifer and Vedhalam. While Meher Ramesh is fixed to direct Vedhalam’s Telugu remake, there is still no clarity about the director of Lucifer’s Telugu version.
The mega team has first approached Saaho director Sujeeth to remake this Malayalam blockbuster. Meanwhile, Chiru reportedly disliked the script and screenplay penned by the young director and replaced him with V.V Vinayak. Vinay shares close association with Megastar as he directed Tagore and Khaidi No.150 with him earlier. After working for a while, Vinayak’s version of Lucifer failed to impress Chiru due to the creative differences, and the project returned to square one.
Grapevine says that Chiranjeevi is opting to rope in Mohan Raja who directed Thani Oruvan to direct Lucifer’s remake. Raja is the son of noted producer Editor Mohan who made Hitler with Chiranjeevi. Ram Charan’s Dhruva is the remake of the Kollywood film Thani Oruvan directed by Raja. He made his debut with Hanuman Junction in 2001. Chiru is of the opinion that Raja is apt for this remake owing to his stylish taking and finer nuances. Let’s see whether this scoop turns out to be true or not.
