Superstar Rajinikanth has good news for his fans. He gave clarity about his entry into politics. It is learnt that Rajini had interacted with the district presidents of the fan clubs for about one and a half hours. Announcing that the decision will be announced soon during the meeting, Rajini finally tweeted this. Rajinikanth said the party would be announced on December 31 and launch will be in January. Elections will be held in Tamil Nadu next year.
Talk among political circles in Tamil Nadu is how Rajinikanth would influence the elections which are due soon. The mandates in Tamil Nadu are generally typical. Right from MGR to Rajini many have come into politics and few have succeeded. Vijayakanth was the first actor to be honoured by people, who gave him 29 seats but later because of his decisions, his party lost sheen. Now in the coming elections, the parties of Kamal Hassan and Rajini are contesting. Kamal is an atheist and going by their statements, Kamal is likely to go with DMK, which is also known for its atheism whereas Rajini is a believer and is likely to go with BJP indirectly.
Support to AIADMK
Rajinikanth has good relations with AIADMK. There were rumours that the Tamil superstar would lead the party after the death of Jayalalitha. However, he stayed away from the party following the conflicts between VK Sasikala and Dinakaran. However, Sasikala will be out from prison on January 27 and her release is also likely to have an impact on the political equations. It would be interesting to see whether Rajini would align with the BJP-AIADMK or fight solo. It appears that primarily the focus would be between Rajini and Kamal. In this scenario, it would be Rajini, BJP and AIADMK combine versus the DMK Congress combine.
On the other hand, Kamal Hasan who had floated his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam will also be contesting in the upcoming Assembly elections. He said that his party would go alone in the elections. They said that they are open to having an alliance with Rajini, only if the latter is interested. Kamal and Rajini share a close friendship of 40 years. It has to be seen what would be the strategy of these parties.
