India is preparing to deal a deadly blow to belligerent China, which is spoiling for a fight. To teach a lesson to China which is secretly deploying missiles at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), India is deploying supersonic cruise missile Nirbhay. After making it clear that it is ready to fight China even in the freezing winter, India is busy sending advanced tanks to the LAC. The equipment being deployed on the frontline can work even in -40 degree centigrade temperatures.
Surreptitious fortification
China, which has set up 13 military bases along the LAC, has been deploying sophisticated warplanes like Sukhoi and J11. It is deploying missiles targeting Indian territories of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. It kept modern weapons ready in Hotan, Lhasa and Neigshi. India which is monitoring China’s military activities closely with the help of satellites is making its own preparations to counter any aggressive postures by the dragon.
Strong message
Not wanting to be caught off-guard by the perfidious neighbor this time, India has put in place its deterrence weapons Akash, BrahMos and Nirbhay at the border. The large-scale military deployment by two Asian giants has created a tense atmosphere in the region.
The Supersonic missile Nirbhay was developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The missile has been deployed after it succeeded in four out of 7 tests in seven years. The missile was able to hit the target perfectly in the recent test. Nirbhay can smash a target within 1,000 km. This missile is capable of flying at a height of 100 metre to 4 km from the ground thus making it tough for the radar to recognize it. The low noise is another plus point. After full clearance, more Nirbhay missiles are expected to be deployed on the border.
Akash and BrahMos
Akash, which can hit 12 targets at a time with the help of radar, can bring down cruise missiles and ballistic missiles effectively. Air-to-air BrahMos missile can hit a target at 500 km and carry a warhead of 300 kg. On the other hand, the government has approved procurement of weapons and defence equipment worth Rs 2,290 crore from the US. France is likely to handover five more Rafale jets to India.
