Kannada film industry is now enjoying nationwide recognition, thanks to the exponential success of KGF 1. This action drama collected more than 250crores making it the highest collecting Kannada flick of all time. Rocking Star Yash became a Pan-Indian hero with it and director Prashanth Neel is one of the most wanted filmmakers across the nation now.
The team is currently on the verge of completing its sequel KGF 2. The recently released teaser of this second installment put all the records on Youtube to shame by garnering more than 150 million views in a few days. Prashanth has roped in actors like Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, and Rao Ramesh to make the film appeal to the viewers from all the languages.
Producers Vijay Kiragandur and Karthik Gowda are planning to release KGF 2 on July 30th. They decided on this date as 50 percent occupancy rules in the theatres will be most probably lifted by then. Let’s see whether the makers stick to this release date or change their minds.
