Rowdy hero Vijay Devarakonda is the undisputed king of the youth in Tollywood now. After the sensational hits of Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam, Vijay encountered a series of flops with NOTA, Dear Comrade, and World Famous Lover. Even though these flops haven’t affected his desirability factor, Vijay has now become extra careful in selecting the subjects.
He is currently busy with a Pan-Indian film Fighter directed by Puri Jagannadh. Karan Johar is presenting this action film in Hindi markets. Before Fighter, Vijay started a film named Hero produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Its director Anand Annamalai even shot the first schedule in Delhi. Vijay is said to be acting in a bike racer’s role in Hero. Malavika Mohanan was roped in to play the female lead in it.
After the completion of the first schedule, there is no update about the movie till now. Tollywood circles say that Vijay opted to complete Puri’s Fighter after the debacle of Dear Comrade produced by Mythri Movie Makers. He reportedly told the producers that he will continue Hero after finishing the Fighter.
But the team of MMM is said to be confused now as Vijay has given his nod to act in a film under the direction of Shiva Nirvana after Fighter recently. He is donning the role of an Army Major in it. This is said to be irking the producers of Hero and they are reportedly waiting for a clarification from Vijay.
