Plot
Joseph is a retired Police officer who is known for his adeptness in solving crimes. The police department continues to use his services even after he retires from service. Meanwhile a series of accidents rattle the quaint town. Even though Police consider them as mere traffic accidents, Joseph becomes suspicious about them. His wife and daughter were also killed in a similar accident in the past and this makes him curious to find out if there is a pattern and conspiracy behind. Joseph dives deep into investigation and goes to the extent of risking his life.
Analysis
Director Padma Kumar showcases the protagonist’s astuteness in the opening scene by showing us his skill in solving a murder case. This scene sets up the pace for the movie which has the audience hooked right through. Gripping screenplay makes the audience feel a constant rush of adrenaline while maintaining the intensity throughout. Joju George’s portrayal of Joseph’s character is realistic, earning him the much deserved ‘State Best Actor’ award. Anil Murali’s role as Joseph’s superior officer is delightful. The role of Joseph’s wife is played by Athmiya Rajan while the character of his former lover was portrayed by Madhuri Braganza.
Highlights
The major highlight of the film is the interesting premise which revolves around unraveling a scam behind a series of accidents. Protagonist’s investigation procedure is interesting to see as it was filmed cleverly. The mystery behind these incidents is mind-numbing, leaving an after-shock on the audience. A very good watch if you like thrillers that have family drama and emotions too.
