‘Lady Amitabh’ Vijayashanti’s entry into the BJP will happen soon. BJP state president Bandi Sanjay heaping praises on the actress turned politician confirmed that the latter would join soon, on an auspicious occasion.
Putting all speculations to rest, it can be confirmed that the actress turned politician Vijayashanti will join the Saffron party, once the appropriate date and time would be fixed. ‘Lady Amitabh’ who made her political debut with the BJP had joined the TRS and won as an MP from Medak and later switched sides to the Congress. The AICC appointed Vijayashanti as the star campaigner and adviser to the election campaign committee of Telangana PCC. However, with the Congress losing the polls and those who won leaving the party, even Vijayashanti went off the grid. However, except for press meets she never ventured out in public.
Sanjay heaps praises
There were several speculations in political circles about Vijayashanti joining the BJP. Clearing the air, MoS Kishan Reddy’s visit to the actor turned politician’s residence strengthened those reports. It is expected that the 54-yr old will join the BJP before November 10th. Recently, BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay addressing the media in the context of Dubbaka by-polls lauded Vijayashanti for her political stand.
“I will tell you soon when she will be joining the BJP. She fought with TRS for statehood. But ruling party ignored her contribution after state formation,” the BJP Telangana chief said.
