The news of senior TDP leader and former minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu receiving death threats has sensationalized AP politics. A message sent by an unidentified person threatening the TDP leader directly has ignited an intense political battle in the state. This led the TDP leader to lodge a complaint in Narsipatnam PS and to the AP DGP.
Along with Ayyanna Patrudu, names of six others too have been mentioned in the letter. In connection with the incident, the person in the message claimed to have evidence and requested the minister to give him an appointment to explain the matter in detail.
Police arrested a man identified as Viyyapu Tatarao from Butchayyapeta for having sent the message and have remanded him.
