One of the biggest announcements in the Indian Film Industry for the year was made today. Hero Prabhas who rose to become a pan-India actor after Bahubali movie is all set to don the role of Lord Sri Ram in his upcoming movie titled ‘Adi Purush.’ It is a ‘celebration of the victory of good over evil’ says the tagline. Adi Purush will be Prabhas’s 22nd film. Director Om Raut who made a blockbuster movie ‘Tanhaji’ with Ajay Devgan is directing ‘Adi Purush’.
Producer Bhushan Kumar and his associates are bankrolling the project, which is tipped to be made with a whopping budget if Rs.500 crore. This movie is going to be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages and a few international languages. Details about cast and crew are yet to be released. The poster released along with the movie announcement suggests that the movie is based on Ramayana. Prabhas is portraying the role of Lord Sri Ram. Buzz in Bollywood is that Hrithik Roshan will essay the role of Ravana who is the antagonist of the movie.
Prabhas responded to a plethora of congratulatory messages on social media by stating that he was more than elated to be part of the movie. “Every role and character comes with its challenges. But, portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character of our Epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of the country will shower all their love on our film” stated the darling of the masses, Prabhas.
