Superstar Rajinikanth cleared the air about his political entry recently. He is currently acting in Annaatthe under the direction of Siva who frequently collaborates with Ajith. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Annaatthe’s shooting got postponed due to the lockdown before seven months. Rajini hasn’t given his nod for its start yet as this 70-year-old actor doesn’t want to take a chance with COVID.
Rajinikanth has undergone a kidney transplantation surgery once and doctors warned him to avoid the shooting as the infection is still at large. This has become a major cause of worry for the makers as they scheduled the release of Annaatthe for Sankranthi earlier. As Rajini is not keen on joining the shoot anytime soon, the filming will mostly start in February or March. So Sun Pictures don’t have any option other than releasing it for summer.
Coming to the casting front, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, and Khushbu are playing the female leads in this film. Bollywood star Jackie Shroff is donning the antagonist’s role.
