It seems that troubles are not going to leave Megastar’s Acharya anytime soon. The shooting which was halted before eight months due to the lockdown started before a couple of days. When the makers thought to roll it quickly, none other than its protagonist Chiranjeevi tested positive for COVID-19.
As Chiru is not having any major symptoms, he is quarantined at home and will take easily a month to recover and join the shoot. Director Koratala Siva started to wrap up the portions with the remaining cast and is waiting for Megastar who will be joining the shoot in December most probably. If he doesn’t recover properly, then the shoot will get cancelled again until Chiru is ok.
As Charan is playing an extended cameo in the film, the scenes between him and Chiranjeevi are said to be pivotal. Even though Chiru gets recovered in December and joins the shoot in December, nobody knows when Ram Charan escapes the clutches of Rajamouli’s RRR. Taking all this chaos into consideration, it is very hard for Acharya to gear up for the summer release. So the makers are said to be secretly aiming for a Dussehra release according to the confidential sources.
