Suriya’s Aakasam Nee Haddura became the first star-studded film to garner the hit status among all the big-budget flicks which were released on OTT platforms. It is directed by Guru fame Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga. It is based on a book called Simply Fly written by the founder of Air Deccan, G.R Gopinath. Aakasam Nee Haddura once again proved what a performer like Suriya can do if given a meaty role.
ANH which was the dubbed version of Soorarai Pottru ushered new breathe into the ailing Amazon Prime with successive flops. This fictionalized biopic captured the attention of Bollywood and a leading production house from Mumbai is in the process of remaking it. The makers have reportedly contacted Shahid Kapoor to portray Suriya’s role and waiting for his nod.
If he agrees to join the project, the production house will retain Sudha Kongara as the director for the Hindi version too. Shahid is already busy with a couple of projects which got delayed due to the lockdown. Let’s wait and see whether he says OK to this inspirational tale or not.
