The Telugu Desam Party which weakened in Srikakulam post the general elections has now strengthened after the appointment of the president in the Lok Sabha constituency. There is a new enthusiasm among the cadre after an energetic personality former Amadalavalasa MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar was appointed as president.
The victory of TDP is the target- Kuna
Having taken charge as the president of the constituency in the presence of party president Atchannaidu Kinjarapu in the Srikakulam TDP office, Ravi Kumar said that the YCP in its 18 months rule had done nothing for the district. He said he would take the opportunity as president and fulfil the responsibilities and ensure the victory of the party in all the places in the district. He asked the party leaders to approach him on any issue. He said that the Assembly Speaker, Minister Dharmana Krishnadas and Appalraju had spoken irresponsibly.
YCP only boasting- Atchannaidu
The TDP state president said that the YCP leaders who opposed the construction of the Bhavanapadu Port were boasting as if they were bringing the port today. He expressed dismay that when the government brought a door-to-door tap scheme with an estimate of Rs 5,000 Crore, the YCP after coming to power had cancelled the scheme.
High priority to district: Kala
Politburo member Kala Venkat Rao said that the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu was giving high priority to the district and it’s clear with Atchannaidu Kinjarapu being appointed the president of the state party from the district. Rammohan Naidu said that he would strive to bring back the past glory of the party as a successor of Yerran Naidu. He said, the family of Kinjarapu will not indulge in corruption but will share the happiness and sorrows of the people.
