iSmart Shankar ended the woes for Puri Jagannadh and he is making a Pan-Indian flick named Fighter with Rowdy Star Vijay Devarakonda now. It is presented by Karan Johar in Hindi markets. Ananya Panday is entering Tollywood with Fighter.
Puri finalized Malayalam action hero Suresh Gopi to play Vijay’s father after considering various others. He took this deliberate decision to pitch Fighter to the Mollywood audiences as Vijay’s Geetha Govindam became a super hit in Kerala. Even World Famous Lover was released simultaneously in Malayalam along with Telugu.
Puri has reportedly met Suresh Gopi and narrated the script already. The veteran actor is said to have asked for some time to think about it. Let’s hope that he agrees to do the role which would be a welcome addition to Fighter. The regular shoot of the film will resume shortly in Mumbai.
