Assembly sessions will be held on October 13 and 14. Both the Chairman and Speaker have taken important decisions regarding the members, staff, police and media personnel attending the sessions, as Corona positive cases are still on the rise. It has been decided to set up Covid test centres in the Assembly premises for those attending the meetings of the Legislative Assembly and Council. The sessions which were scheduled till September 28, ended on September 16 due to Covid concerns.
The state has now decided to hold two-day sessions in order to take up amendments related to the GHMC and other Acts on October 13th and 14th. The Assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Council Chairman have directed the Legislative secretary to set up a testing centre in the Assembly premises on Monday (October 12) from 2 pm. The visitors to the House have to undergo tests. The secretary has said that the Assembly, Council members, their secretaries, officials and media personnel can undergo tests at the premises. The secretary has further said that all those attending sessions should wear masks and undergo tests compulsorily.
