Akshay Kumar is one of the biggest stars in the country as of now. The manner in which he does films is there for us to see as his films are sure shot hits at the box office especially in the last five years.
Today, the trailer of his first OTT release, Laxmmi Bomb was released and the first reactions are out. If you see the trailer from the Telugu perspective, we have already seen the film, the plot looks pretty much the same.
But as Bollywood audience, the setup is naive and also has a crazy backdrop. The punch lines, supporting cast suit the film supremely well. Lawrence who directs the remake is the man who can create superb horror-comedy.
He has done the same and his trump card is the leading man Akshay Kumar. The trailer is filled with histrionics of Akshay Kumar who is amazing as Laxmmi and hilarious as the husband of Kiara Advani. Seems like the young heroine has nothing much to do in the film though.
By the looks of it, this film is for the northern belt who love loud and slapstick comedy and if theatres were open, the film would have taken a bumper opening. But as it is the small screen we need to see how the posh audience will embrace it.
