Senior heroes in Tollywood are nowhere ready to accept their age lately. When it comes to ‘King’ Nagarjuna, it is obvious as he looks too young for his age. Though he is in his 60s, he appears to be in 40s due to his exercise regimen and disciplined lifestyle. In the recently started Bigg Boss-4, Gangavva stood different among all the other contestants due to her realistic looks and rural demeanour. She is four years younger to Nagarjuna and calls him ‘brother’. But viewers are surprised when Nag calls her ‘avva’ in the show which means ‘grandmother’ in English.
Gangavva’s parents died when she was three and was raised by her grandmother. She got married at the age of five and her husband went to Dubai leaving her alone. Life was never easy for her and she experienced several hassles before ‘My Village Show’ happened. She even got film opportunities and was invited as a guest to audio functions. Gangavva went on to become a host and interviewed various actors and actresses. Now she is selected for Bigg Boss and has the highest number of votes than any other contestant.
Though she is the sixteenth contestant in the show, netizens and viewers have a soft corner for her and this is showing in the form of huge vote share that she amassed. Even though she has confessed that she can’t stay in the house for long, her fans are no mood to listen. Analysts say that she may stay in the house for not less than ten weeks. Nagarjuna who is 62 now is becoming the subject of trolls lately due to his constant efforts to hide his age before Gangavva. When she is calling him ‘brother’, Nag should have at least skipped ‘avva’ when he replies. At least she should have called him ‘Babu’ as our heroes are generally called which would have avoided this ‘age’ fiasco.
