US Vice President-elect Kamal Harris on Tuesday got injected with Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine in a bid to encourage the American public regarding its safety. Most of the US politicians were seen choosing the vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNTech. Harris and her spouse Doug Emhoff were given the shots at the United Medical Centre in Washington DC. It is known that the US President-elect Joe Biden had received the vaccination last week. Kamala described the process of vaccination as a painless one and urged all to do the same and protect themselves from the pandemic.
“Let’s do it. It’s about saving your life, the life of your family members, and the life of your community. I trust scientists. And it is the scientists who created and approved this vaccine. So, I urge everyone, when it is your turn, get vaccinated,” Kamala Harris said, adding that it was the first of her two doses. The Moderna vaccine was approved or emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration in recent weeks.
