Strangely there is no update about Puri Jagannadh’s Fighter though most of the other films resumed their shoots. Vijay Devarakonda is playing the protagonist in this Pan-Indian fare which is presented by Karan Johar. Ananya Panday is acting as the female lead in it.
Pandemic stalled its shoot when the team was canning portions in Mumbai before eight months. Puri Jagannath who is known to film at stellar speeds hasn’t resumed the shoot of Fighter yet which is becoming the genesis of speculations.
According to the story of the film, the pivotal portions of Fighter happens in the Dharavi Slums of Mumbai. As COVID-19 is still at large and the second wave is ready to hit the metro cities, Puri is said to have postponed it for a while.
Even though he thought to erect sets in Hyderabad for its shoot, he changed his decision as original locations catapult the film’s feel to the next level. Fighter also needs to be shot in foreign locales which is not going to happen anytime soon due to the second wave of Corona. This made Puri take a long break who is currently residing in Mumbai penning new scripts.
