A gangrape case in Tempalli village of Gannavaram mandal in Krishna district has turned sensational. Two bike-borne youths who have been giving a lift to women travelling to their native places on the occasion of Sankranti allegedly gang-raped a lady by taking her to an isolated spot. Police immediately swooped into action following a complaint by the victim. The woman was later taken to Vijayawada Government Hospital for medical tests. The case was registered in Atkuru Police Station and an investigation is underway.
Accused identified as Tempalli natives
Police have identified the youth who committed the heinous crime on the woman as residents of Tempalli. A hunt is also on to nab the accused. The gangrape of a woman who hoped to celebrate Sankranti happily with her family members has led to a sensation in the district.
