The shifting of the capital to Vizag would be completed within four months, the Advisor to the AP government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said on Tuesday while addressing media at Velagapudi in Amaravati. The announcement by Sajjala comes just days after YSRCP RS MP and close aide of CM, V Vijayasai Reddy had made it clear that by April 13th on the occasion of Ugadi the capital would be shifted to Vizag. Meanwhile, the Ap High Court is hearing 93 petitions related to the Amaravati capital issue. With the Chief Justice of AP High Court having changed, it is believed that the verdict would be in favour of the capital being shifted to Vizag, and hence the YSRCP leaders were making such claims. Recently, the AP High Court even suspended the Election Schedule released by the SEC to hold the local body polls in the state. On the other hand, the opposition parties fear that the verdict could be out in favour of YSRCP and that the indications are clear.
Only four months in Amaravati
It looks like AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy is adamant on shifting his office and begin operations from Vizag by April 13th on the occasion of Ugadi. It is learnt that officials have been informed to be ready regarding the shifting of CMO to Vizag on the day the Court delivers its verdict. Already a letter has been written by the state government to Centre regarding shifting of the Krishna Water Board Office. Meanwhile, works related to shifting of the RTC office to Vizag Dwarka Bus Stand is going on a fast pace. In this scenario, the claims made by YSRCP leaders over capital shifting to Vizag has gained strength.
