Rajamouli’s Baahubali catapulted the stamina of TFI to the skies. He gave a big jolt to the people who are looking down on Tollywood by proving what a Telugu director can do if given the right resources. Every other star in Tollywood is now trying to make films that appeal to a Pan-Indian crowd. This phenomenon is turning to be fetching for Bollywood bombshells as the makers are casting them opposite Tollywood hunks.
Sonam Kapoor debuted as a heroine in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya in 2007. She was termed as a product of nepotism until she proved her mettle in the 2016 biographical thriller Neerja. This film proved that Sonam can perform well if given a suitable role. Tollywood has already imported actresses like Vidya Balan, Kiara Advani, Deepika Padukone, and Shraddha Kapoor and Sonam is said to be joining the bandwagon soon.
If sources are to be believed, Sonam is roped to play the female lead opposite a star hero in a Pan-Indian outing. A noted production house from Hyderabad is shelling out heavy bucks to get her onboard. Let’s see whether Sonam gets success with her first Telugu film or not.
