There is no single MLA nor MP from AP for the BJP, on the other hand, the Saffron Party lacks an active leader from the state and hence they are seeking an alliance with the Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena Party. At a time when there are no elections for the coming three years, the BJP is currently listing its plans about what it would do on assuming power.
BC candidate would be made CM
President of the BJP from Andhra Pradesh, Somu Veerraju announced that a person from BC community would be chosen for the Chief Ministerial post if the BJP would be voted to power. He even challenged the YSRCP and TDP, asking them whether they can do the same. On Thursday, several TDP leaders from the Gurazala Assembly constituency joined the BJP in Vijayawada. Speaking on the occasion, Somu Veerraju said that the fate of AP can be changed only if dynasty politics ends and alleged that development in the 13 districts of the residual state was ignored by late CM YSR and former CM Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking about Polavaram issue, the AP BJP Chief said that YSRCP and TDP have lost their right to speak and that it was because of MoS Kishan Reddy’s efforts that the project is going ahead. He added that severe injustice has been meted out to Rayalaseema by the YSRCP, TDP and the Congress. Somu Veerraju even lambasted the TDP leaders for speaking out of their senses and poked fun of Kinjarapu Atchannaidu for saying that he would become the Home Minister.
