Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, a senior TDP leader has alleged the YSRCP of colluding with the Centre towards privatisation of the Mega Steel Plant (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd) in the Port City of Visakhapatnam. He said that V Vijayasai Reddy is plotting to grab a thousand crores from the mega plant which is worth lakh crores under the guise of privatisation. He added that the YSRCP MP is trying to take control of the company via ‘benami’ transaction. The TDP leader said that instead of privatising the plant, the state government needs to purchase it and save the rights of Andhra people. Ayyanna Patrudu went all guns blazing, accusing the A1 and A2 of destroying the state and the privatisation of Vizag Steel Plant has touched the peaks. He said that the state government has misled the Centre by sending a false report in a bid to take control of the Vizag Steel Plant. The TDP leader questioned that when APSRTC can be merged with the state government, why can’t Vizag Steel Plant be bought?
