After the first hearing of the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Supreme Court had directed all parties to submit notes. Meanwhile, Bihar Government has filed a detailed report in SC in response to Rhea Chakraborty’s petition seeking transfer of FIR from Patna to Mumbai. Consequently, a looming question also surfaces up whether the investigation will be done by Mumbai police or the CBI.
Actress Rhea Chakraborty had filed a petition in Supreme Court, seeking to transfer the FIR filed against her in Patna, by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father.
The Bihar Government in its reply claimed that Bihar Police has jurisdiction to probe the case. According to them, since the CBI has taken over the probe, Rhea’s plea to transfer the probe to Mumbai has become ‘infructuous’.
On the other hand, it has been revealed that Rhea Chakraborty in her submission to SC stated that the “Bihar government can’t transfer probe to the CBI.” Supreme Court had reserved its judgment and is expected to decide on the same today.
Rhea Chakraborty is also being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection to the financial aspect in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The actor’s father had also pointed out several financial irregularities in Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank account.
In their final written submission to the Supreme Court in the Sushant Singh Rajput family vs Rhea Chakraborty petition hearing, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said that there is no question of transferring the case to Mumbai as there is no case filed or pending there.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Sushant’s sister Shweta shared a video clip requesting PM Narendra Modi for an unbiased investigation. She shared the post with a caption which read “We stand together as a nation for CBI Enquiry! Demanding an unbiased investigation is our right and we expect nothing but the truth to come out. #CBIForSSR #Warriors4SSR #justiceforSushanthSinghRajput @PMOIndia @narendramodi @AmitShah” (sic).
