Kollywood blockbuster Vedhalam starring Thala Ajith and Shruti Haasan is now gearing up for its Telugu remake. Megastar Chiranjeevi loved the subject and has gifted the golden opportunity to direct him to Meher Ramesh.
This remake is bankrolled by Anil Sunkara while Konidela Production Company is co-producing it. As Meher Ramesh is ready with a full-bound script now, Chiru decided to start its shooting in May. The major part of Vedhalam’s remake will be helmed in Kolkata as per the script demand.
Chiru’s 1998 super hit Choodalani Vundi was also shot in Kolkata and the makers are reportedly following the same sentiment for Vedhalam. Mahanti fame Keerthy Suresh has agreed to play Chiru’s sister in the film.
Megastar is giving break to Mani Sharma’s son Mahati Sagar by getting him on board to compose the songs for this mega project.
