The officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) allegedly found Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MP-LADS) files of Congress MP A Revanth Reddy from accused K Anji Reddy, who was caught while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 1.10 crores, on Friday night.
The raids were carried out against Keesara Tahsildar Erva Balraju Nagaraju (47) and two real-estate dealers. ACB officials seized Rs 1.10 crore cash which was found in a guest house, and Rs 8 lakhs in a vehicle. Property documents of land in Rampally Dayara falling in Keesara Mandal were also seized.
Acting upon intelligence inputs, ACB officials on Friday raided a guest house in AS Rao Nagar, Hyderabad and caught Erva Balraju Nagaraju red-handed.
“He is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 2 crore from Chowla Srinath, 50, real estate dealer of Sri Satya Developers, Swaroop Nagar, Uppal, to settle a land dispute case,” officials said.
“Few documents included development works proposed by the MP and few nomination files. As per the protocol, no one else but the MP should possess such documents before it is submitted to the collector. All files have been seized, investigation under way,” sources from ACB revealed.
The raid was followed by a tip-off received by the officials that Keesara Tahalisdar demanded Rs 2 crore from real-estate dealer C. Srinath to settle a land dispute case.
During the raids, ACB officials also found proceeding order copies in favor of accused C Srinath even before the documentation work was completed.
Sources in the Congress are alleging that the TRS Government is deliberately bringing up the name of their MP who has been a bitter foe of the Chief Minister.
